Minnesota Farm Bureau members are tracking several pieces of legislation under consideration in the Minnesota State Legislature. Public Policy Associate Director Josie Lonetti says several are being held up in conference committee including the Agriculture Omnibus bill.

She says discussions on funding for the transportation bill and the overall budget bill are both (sty-meed) stymied at this point;

Lonetti expects lawmakers to come to some type of compromise on those measures and thinks they’ll be able to get it done by the May 20 adjournment deadline.

Lonetti encourages Farm Bureau members to keep active in advocating for their priority bills and to keep engaged with lawmakers.
