During the recent Farm Fest, several farmers were discussing the upcoming farm bill legislation.  Minnesota Farm Bureau president, Dan Glessing says his membership would like to see additional funding devoted to farm bill provisions, however, he says it may not be likely.  Glessing says Minnesota Farm Bureau has sent a survey to its members, to determine what is their opinion of the farm bill.  Glessing says many farmers want the crop insurance provisions to continue.  He says the dairy and conservation provisions have also been beneficial to farmers.  Minnesota is an interesting state with both rural and urban legislators.  Glessing says it is sometimes a challenge talking with the urban legislators about the farm bill.
