Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has issued an Executive Order calling for restoring healthy and diverse pollinator populations that sustain and enhance the state’s environment, economy and way of life. State Farm Bureau President Kevin Paap says it’s an excellent decree that brings together farmers and others to achieve better pollinator health.

He says they are talking a very science-based approach to promote pollinators.

Paap says pollinators are important not just for the honey industry but for all aspects of agriculture.

The Executive Order calls for Minnesotans to use pesticides judiciously and only when necessary to reduce harm to pollinators from pesticides while retaining economic strength.
