Even though Minnesota’s unemployment rate is only 3.8 percent, some pockets in the state continue to struggle, according to St. Thomas Marketing Professor David Brennan:
Another area of the state that continues to struggle with higher unemployment numbers is the Iron Range. The shining star in the state is North Mankato with a 2.9 percent jobless rate. Brennan says Rochester continues to do well too — at 3.2 percent unemployment rate.
