The Minnesota Department of Health has won a federal grant to fight sex and labor trafficking in the state. Spokeswoman Lauren Ryan says the $2.87 million in funding will help expand the state’s existing “Safe Harbor Program” and dig deeper into the problem itself
Under the state’s Safe Harbor Program, people under 24 who are sexually exploited or at risk are treated as victims.
