The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says its new statewide deer plan should serve as a guide for deer management in the state for the next decade. The plan covers a wide range of goals, including promoting healthy habitats. Spokeswoman Leslie McInenly says addressing chronic wasting disease is a priority

McInenly says another priority of the more than 50-page plan is to improve communications between the DNR, hunters and landowners. Details of the plan can be viewed at the DNR’s website (mndnr.gov/deerplan).
