A bill with 10 million dollars to replenish the state’s Disaster Assistance Fund is headed to Governor Tim Walz after the Minnesota House unanimously approved it following last week’s Senate approval. Cottage Grove Republican Tony Jurgens proposed the number be 43 million dollars, rather than 10:
But Winona Democrat Gene Pelowski responds that’s already being considered:
Walz had encouraged lawmakers move rapidly on the bill because of potential flooding threatening the state.
