Minnesota Dicamba Task Force members have provided recommendations for dicamba use next season. Task Force Chairman Bob Worth, director on the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association, says State Ag Commissioner Dave Frederickson was pleased with their suggestions and understands how important it is for growers to have the ability to use dicamba for weed control.
Frederickson told them the state cannot afford to spend the money it had to this year to deal with the dicamba drift problems.
Worth says Frederickson needs to decide soon whether the state will allow use of dicamba next season and what additional restrictions will be required.
Worth says he’s expecting the new regulations sometime this week.
