Minnesota’s Dicamba Task Force is holding their first meeting in Mankato today. State Soybean Association Board Secretary Bob Worth of Lake Benton chairs the group. He says the groups function is not to place blame, but to seek answers to the drift problems caused by the dicamba resistant technology.
He says there’s a wide range of groups represented on the task force.
Worth says their state Agriculture Department is hoping the task force comes up with some answers so they can determine whether or not to approve the license for dicamba use for next year.
Worth anticipates they’ll have several meetings and will decide at Monday’s meeting when and where they’ll meet again.
