The Minnesota Department of Health announced it will add Alzheimer’s disease as a new qualifying condition for the state’s medical cannabis program. Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says qualifying patients can participate in the program starting in August 2019
Malcolm says the Alzheimers petition was the strongest of the seven conditions up for consideration this year. Other conditions that were considered included hep C, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, opioid use disorder, panic disorder, psoriasis and traumatic brain injury.
