Preliminary results through the second weekend of the Minnesota deer hunt show the total number of deer registered was up 10-percent from last year.(2016)  The Department of Natural Resources’s Steve Merchant is optimistic this year’s deer harvest will beat last year’s total of just over 173-thousand

 

Of the deer harvested so far, 54-percent were bucks, compared to 63-percent during the same period in 2016.
