Minnesota Corn Grower’s Association members are tracking various bills in the state legislature this session. President Tim Waibel says they’ve seen good backing for the E-15 mandate bill in the state senate while it’s a bit more challenging in the House but remain optimistic about getting it approved.

He says there’s not a lot of cost involved with the E-15 mandate bill and it will in the long run be economically beneficial for the state.

Waibel says the other measure they’re closely watching is a measure to tweak the buffer strip bill.

Waibel says they’re also encouraged that budget numbers came in better than expected from the Governor’s latest report.
