Minnesota Corn Grower’s Association President Les Anderson met this week with EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler at a farm in Northern Minnesota. Following his meeting with Wheeler, Anderson says he’s confident the agency will go ahead with rejecting the remaining small refiner exemptions in question.

He says while they expect the EPA to deny those remaining waiver exemptions, it probably won’t happen until after the November election.

Anderson says he also expects the EPA to move ahead with infrastructure development for higher blends of ethanol, mainly E-15.

Anderson says Wheeler wants to make sure the environment is protected but doesn’t want to institute a large number of regulations.
