Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton says he expects state employees will honor his ban on non-essential travel to North Carolina after that state recently repealed a law limiting protection for LGBT people.

Dayton announced the travel ban after North Carolina lawmakers passed a law barring transgender people from bathrooms that don’t match the gender on their birth certificates. Similar legislation is being considered in Minnesota. Dayton says he’ll veto it if it reaches his desk.
