Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner Dave Frederickson says his department will issue a draft rule, probably within four to six weeks, on farmers’ use of nitrogen fertilizer

 

Frederickson says the rule will look at practices that don’t degrade the water supply.  He says farmers can rest assured it will take soil types into account.
