House Republicans are beginning their review of Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton’s state budget proposal.  A gas tax increase is not included, but Dayton intends to propose it again.   Management and Budget Commissioner Myron Frans says the governor’s plan will be “virtually the same” as last session”

 

Republicans in the House and Senate strongly oppose a gas tax increase, warning it would hit middle-income Minnesotans hard.
