South Dakota State’s Megan Mingo was named The Summit League Women’s Golfer of the Year award in a vote of the League’s head coaches.
Her teammate Teresa Toscano collected the Newcomer of the Year award, while Denver head coach Lindsay Kuhle was selected as the Coach of the Year for the fourth straight year.
Mingo was named Golfer of the Year after capturing individual medalist honors at The Summit League Championship and Seton Hall Pirate Invitational. The senior carded a 6-over par 222 (69-80-73) at The Summit League Championship, where she tied a single-round tournament record and garnered her first career all-tournament team honor.
The Yankton, S.D. native broke both the 18-hole (68) and 36-hole (138) school records en route to eight top-10 finishes on the season. She was named Golfer of the Month for October and was twice selected as Golfer of the Week (March 8 and 22).
Toscano earned Newcomer of the Year honors after being named to the All-Summit League Second Team and All-Tournament Team. She carded a 4-under 212 (73-68-71) to capture individual medalist honors at Jackrabbit Invitational in March.
