South Dakota State senior Megan Mingo was named The Summit League Women’s Golfer of the Week Wednesday by the league office.
Mingo, who was the November 2016 Women’s Golfer of the Month, led the Jackrabbits at the Hurricane Invitational Feb. 28-Mar. 1. She shot a 223 (78-76-69) to tie for 33rd in the 86-player field. Mingo collected five birdies in the final round. Her 69 was the third-best round in school history.
The Yankton, native leads the team with a 74.25 stroke average over 20 rounds. She won a fall tournament and has three top-five and five top-10 finishes. Mingo ranks third in The Summit League in stroke average.
