Sophomore Macy Miller (Mitchell) was named The Summit League Player of the Week Monday for the third time this season after helping the South Dakota State women’s basketball team to a 2-0 week.
Miller was The Summit League Player of the Week Nov. 23 and Dec. 21.
The 6-foot-0 point guard averaged 23 points. 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 92.3 percent from the free-throw line. She also recorded a 4.0 assist-to-turnover ratio.
In the Dec. 30 win at Denver, she registered a game-high 17 points and added 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
In the 81-63 victory at North Dakota State Jan. 3, Miller recorded her third 20-plus point game of the season with a game-high 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 shooting from the foul line.
Miller leads the Jackrabbits in scoring (17.5) and assists (2.7) while shooting 47.9 percent from the field, 38.2 percent from 3-point range and 77.5 percent from the free-throw line.
