Nebraska has fired seventh-year coach Tim Miles after the Cornhuskers finished second-to-last in the Big Ten and failed to make the NCAA Tournament for a fifth straight year.
Athletic director Bill Moos said he’s spoken with former Iowa State and Chicago Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg and others to gauge interest in the job.
The Huskers finished 13th in the Big Ten and ended a 19-17 season with a second-round loss to TCU in the NIT.
