Governors from eight different Midwest States have written a letter to Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan requesting a waiver allowing the states to continue selling E-15 blended ethanol all year long without restriction.  The federal Clean Air Act gives governors the specific authority to make the formal request.  Combined, the eight states make up over ten percent of U-S gasoline sales.  The governors that signed the joint letter include Kim Reynolds of Iowa, Kristy Noem of South Dakota, Pete Ricketts of Nebraska, Laura Kelly of Kansas, Tim Walz of Minnesota, Doug Burgum of North Dakota, J.B. Pritzker of Illinois, and Tony Evers of Wisconsin.  Several renewable fuels associations, corn grower groups, and ethanol producers applaud the action.
