Midwest Dairy’s South Dakota Division Districts 1 and 2 annual meetings will be held February 6 in Brookings. MDA Chair Allen Merrill says it will cover both the checkoff and business items from the South Dakota Dairy Producers Association. They’ll discuss current issues relevant to the dairy industry in the state.
Dairy farmers will receive updates on dairy promotion activities and strategic partnerships funded by their checkoff.
Plus, Merrill says this is also a chance for dairy producers to provide input on the programs their checkoff is supporting and promoting.
A dairy communications workshop will also be held on building consumer trust and the day will conclude with the 65th Dairy Princess Celebration. The meeting will be held at the Swiftel Center.
