Coronavirus Food Assistance Program payments have gone out with $667,000 doled out to dairy producers. Parker area South Dakota dairy producer Allen Merrill is chairman of Midwest Dairy. He says those funds are helpful to those impacted by the pandemic.

He says FSA did a great job of getting those CFAP funds out quickly.

Merrill says the next thing dairy producers are looking forward to is implementation of the USMCA trade deal which is just days away on July 1..

Wisconsin dairy farmers have received the most in CFAP payments totaling more than $156 million with over 2900 farms getting those funds. $87.5 million went to 538 California dairies and $79 million to just under 1500 New York dairy farms.
