Midland Tops Basketball Poll

Midland totaled 98 points and eight first place votes and is the preseason coaches’ selection to win the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Championship for 2014-15.  The Warriors posted a 30-6 record last year and finished as NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Runner-up in Point Lookout, Missouri.

Morningside, last year’s GPAC Tournament winner, is picked second with 88 points and two first place votes.  Dakota Wesleyan was picked third with 83 points and one first place vote.  Briar Cliff was tabbed fourth with 71 points. Last year’s regular season champ Dordt was picked fifth with 70 points.

 

Points were awarded on a 10-1 basis and coaches’ could not vote for their own team.
