– Ben Imig scored 27 points tonight and the 10th seeded Midland Warriors rolled through the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Semifinals in Point Lookout, Missouri, with a 100-61 win over Robert Morris (Ill.).  The Warriors punched the first return trip to the NAIA final in Branson for a GPAC team since Concordia was the runner-up in 2005.

Galen Gullie added 13 points for the Warriors as they will take a record of 30-5 into a 6pm game against 5th seed Indiana Wesleyan.  Midland shot a staggering 60% from the floor (34-57) and 53% from behind the three point line (8-15).

Tuesday night’s game against Indiana Wesleyan will be broadcast nationally on ESPN3 from Keeter Gymnasium on the campus of the College of the Ozarks.

The last GPAC team to win a NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Title was Northwestern in 2003 (and 2001).
