House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson is leading a trade mission to Central and South America. Minnesota Farmers Union President Gary Wertish is hoping the trip will help the U.S. revise its current trade and tariff policy.

He says the team will visit current customers in those areas as well as markets the U.S. is trying to attain.

Wertish is hoping Congressman Peterson and his team can bring back valuable information to help the Trump administration revise its trade policy moving forward.

Peterson’s trade group will be meeting with agricultural leaders from the public and private sectors.
