Mexico energy regulators have approved the blending of up to 5.8 percent ethanol in the nation outside of the Metro areas of Mexico City, Monterey and Guadalajara. Past Chairman of U.S. Grains Council and Nebraska grower Alan Tiemann says that’s a great initial step Mexico has taken.
He says the development of ethanol in Mexico provides a lot of opportunity for the U.S. to export ethanol to them.
Tiemann says there are other ethanol market opportunities for the U.S. ethanol industry.
Tiemann says U.S. Grains Council has worked diligently to help Mexico develop its renewable fuel market.
