The American Coalition for Ethanol, Iowa Renewable Fuels Association and U.S. Grains Council hosted a recent tour of Mexican marketers at several Iowa ethanol plants. ACE Senior Vice President Ron Lamberty says they were able to show them how E-10 is produced and how best to sell it which is valuable to them as they are developing their own ethanol industry.

He says as they put their ethanol industry together the Mexicans will need to source their ethanol initially from the U.S.

Lamberty the tour was also valuable for U.S. ethanol marketers in developing contacts and relationships with potential customers from Mexico.

Lamberty and Iowa Renewable Fuels Managing Director Lucy Norton says they see this recent trip as the beginning of a long relationship that leads to a new ethanol market in Mexico.
