The proposed merger of the Yankton Area Chamber of Commerce and Yankton Area Progressive Growth was explained at a public meeting Monday night.

The two organizations have shared the same building for the past sixteen years with different missions.

Members of both groups will vote on the merger with the deadline on April 30th. The proposed new name of the organization would be “Yankton Thrive.”
