The economic down-turn experienced in the farm economy the last few years has led to a lot of mental stress in the Northern Plains. Nebraska Farmers Union President John Hansen says help is available through the Nebraska Rural Response Hot Line. (1—800-464—0258).

He says for those who need financial help to access mental health counselors at their hot line they have some vouchers available.

Hansen says they began seeing several people seeking help through their hotline last year and that need has just grown.

Hansen says farm stress hits the entire family and so anyone needing assistance should not be afraid to phone their Nebraska Rural Response Hot Line at 1—800-464—0258..
