A memorial service for Colette Abbott, wife of USD President Jim Abbott was held in Aalfs Auditorium on the USD campus this morning,
Colette Abbott died last Wednesday at their home in Vermillion at the age of 59.
Daughter Sara Abbott Agne addressed the full house, and said her mom looked forward to each fall on campus in Vermillion….
Abbott Agne says they have heard many stories about their mom, and appreciate that….
Abbott Agne says her mom taught them about life, love and family….
The family is requesting that memorial gifts be directed to the James W. and Colette Abbott scholarship at the USD Foundation, or to the Children’s Home Society.
