Iowa’s water quality is the subject of a series of six public meetings planned across the state next month. Rochelle Weiss is the water quality standards coordinator for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, which is hosting the hearings.

Weiss invites Iowans to share their opinions with the D-N-R during these half-dozen meetings.

The first meetings will be in Atlantic and Spencer on September 3rd, followed by hearings in: Washington on September 4th, West Des Moines on September 8th and Independence and Clear Lake on September 9th. If you can’t make it to any of those, you can send comments via e-mail before October 15 to: Rochelle.Weiss@dnr.iowa.gov or to the DNR office at 502 East Ninth Street, Des Moines, IA 50319.
