The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and SDSU Extension are hosting a series of meetings around the state to certify private pesticide applicators.  Valerie Mitchell is an ag program specialist with the Department of Ag and says the classes will also recertify anyone whose certification is running out this year…

Mitchell says for certification training there is some information required by law to be discussed with those planning to handle and apply pesticides…

There will be free meetings held across the state.  Mitchell suggests anyone interested or in need of certification should contact the department SDDA Agricultural Services.
