The Lewis & Clark NRD, based in Hartington, is holding a public hearing on new proposed rules on well construction and impacts to aquifers.

NRD Manager Tom Moser says following the drought in 2012, they saw a big jump in the number of irrigation wells…

 

Moser says they also have some proposed rules about impacts to aquifers…

 

Moser says they have had several public meetings on the new rules, and will now take input before they make those rules final…

 

The hearing will be at the meeting room at Tooty’s in Hartington at 1:30 on Thursday.
