Organizers are circulating petitions for a Medicaid for All ballot initiative.

Molly McCleery with Nebraska Appleseed says supporters aren’t waiting for the legislature to act.

She says Insure The Good Life is the group leading the petition effort.

McCleery  says collecting roughly 85,000 certified signatures by the July 5th deadline is possible.

She says about 90,000 Nebraskans need access to health insurance.
