A Nebraska group cautions Nebraska voters that expanding Medicaid might cost much more than expected.
Americans For Prosperity says it hasn’t decided yet whether it will launch a formal campaign against the initiative to expand Medicaid which seems headed for the November ballot.
State Director Jessica Shelburn says expansion has costs states more than expected, even though they are required to only pay 10-percent of cost
Shelburn says that, for now, the group has launched an educational campaign against the issue expected to make it onto the November ballot
Shelburn says the state cannot afford to expand Medicaid for able-bodied individuals, because it is likely to cost more than expected, which would deprive other services of needed state funds.
