The U.S. Meat Export Federation is continuing its efforts to promote U.S. beef in the Pacific Rim. Meat Export Federation Executive Committee member and Perkins County Nebraska rancher Steve Hanson is going to Macau next month where they’re holding a marketing event featuring Nebraska beef.
He says exports are critical to the beef industry as a large percentage of U.S. beef customers live outside the United States with many in Pacific Rim nations.
Hanson says one of the keys to the recent economic turnaround for the U.S. beef industry has been exports.
Recent beef marketing events hosted by the U.S. Meat Export Federation were held in China and South America.
