United States Beef trade with China is going as expected according to U.S. Meat Export Federation President Phil Seng. He says we’re just in the initial phase of developing that export market.
He says it will take more time to cultivate that market and get more U.S. beef shipped to them.
Seng says so far, U.S. beef trade with China is a very important initial step in getting and maintaining meaningful and full access to that market.
Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue and several of America’s beef producers traveled to China the end of June and early July this year to celebrate the reopening of that market.
