The U.S. Meat Export Federation just completed its major beef marketing event in China. Meat Export Federation Executive Committee member and Nebraska rancher Steve Hanson says they were in China’s three largest cities, Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou. He says this coat tailed on an earlier marketing event MEF did in South America.

He says during their three meetings in China they were able to meet with 300 Chinese importers.

Hanson says the Nebraska Beef Council helped fund the Chinese beef marketing event.

Hanson says he’ll be participating MEF’s next marketing event the Nebraska Beef Barbecue which will be held on the island of Macau, just off the Chinese coast in November. He says it will mirror their recent series of events just held in China.
