May Beef Month Kicks Off Grilling Season

May is Beef Month and a time to recognize the positive impact the beef industry makes on the economy.  South Dakota Beef Industry Council Director of Nutrition Holly Swee says it’s also the official kickoff of the grilling season.

Entering the grilling season she says consumers are looking at ways to stretch their meat dollar and there are many economical beef options to choose from.

Swee says however, cuts from the chuck and round do need some extra attention before hitting the grill.

You can find a recipe for a Grilled Tangy Round Steak at the South Dakota Beef Industry Council’s website at sdbeef.org.
