South Dakota voters will have an unusual ballot in the June primary with a vote on a constitutional amendment. The legislature passed a bill with revisions to the “Marsys Law” constitutional amendment that was approved by voters in November of 2016.
House Speaker Mark Mickelson of Sioux Falls says the revised amendment does not weaken victims rights…..
Mickelson says they heard the criticism of the early vote……
Mickelson says the revision will save money for most counties…..
The amendment ballot will be available to all voters, regardless of party registration.
