Missouri National Recreational River is creating a Property Management Plan for several areas located in Cedar and Dixon Counties in Nebraska. The plan will identify ways to increase the recreational value, resource management, and overall development of Green Island, Bow Creek Recreation Area, and Mulberry Bend. Dugan Smith is the chief of interpretation and education for the National Park Service in Yankton, and he says public comment will be very important for the plan….
Smith says the public is welcome to comment online at the Park Service website or at a public open house at the W.H. Over Museum in Vermillion today from 5 until 7:00. The public comment period is open until December 24th.
