The 2021 session of the South Dakota legislature gets underway on Tuesday. Governor Kristi Noem says there was progress made for agriculture last year on zoning and she’s expected more discussion on that this year.
She says most of the debate lawmakers will likely center on is how to spend the state’s money.
Noem says she’ll be asking lawmakers to pass measures to improve access to broadband.
Noem says it’s also important state lawmakers provide funding to help replace the livestock complex that was destroyed by fire at the state fairgrounds.
