Major Glitch in E15 Proposed Rule

The Environmental Protection Agency has released a proposal to extend the Reid Vapor Pressure waiver to E15 during the summer months Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is pleased the agency is moving forward allowing year-round use of the fuel in line with what President Trump promised.

However, Grassley notes there is a major glitch in the EPA proposal that must be fixed. He says that’s the section of the rule where it bans on site blending of E85 and E10 to make E15 at fueling stations.

He says that provision must be removed because it doesn’t make sense.

The start of the summer driving season is fast approaching so the EPA needs to get their rule finalized quickly.
