He threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns without an interception against Green Bay, keeping his team in it until the final minutes. The Packers escaped with a 31-24 victory.
But the performance by the journeyman quarterback should make the Chiefs feel better about next week if NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes has to miss another game.
