The defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx looked to add depth to their roster with picks in Monday’s league draft.
The first round selection for the Lynx was Tricia Liston from Duke. With two second round picks, the Lynx added Asya Bussie of West Virginia and Christina Foggie from Vanderbilt.
A third round addition was Asia Taylor from Louisville.
Chiney Ogwumike was selected as the No. 1 pick by the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA draft.
Ogwumike on Monday night joined her sister Nneka, drafted by Los Angeles in 2012, as the only siblings to be chosen No. 1 in the WNBA. STATS says Peyton and Eli Manning are the only other siblings to be taken No. 1 in the history of the four major sports.
Chiney Ogwumike finished her stellar career at Stanford as the top scorer and rebounder in Pac-12 history.
Nebraska star Jordan Hooper was a second round pick by the Tulsa Shock.
