LSP Member Has Trade Concerns

Minnesota Land Stewardship Project members are in Washington DC this week meeting with elected officials talking about trade. New Ulm, Minnesota Dairy producer Sue Greibel says she has several concerns about the Trans Pacific Partnership and Trans Atlantic free trade deals now under consideration. She says Congress isn’t getting enough input from producers on those deals.

Greibel says the deals can and need to be advanced without Trade Promotion authority or Fast Track being granted to the President. She says Congress needs to have full oversight over trade agreements.

Greibel says trade agreements need to be of the people, by the people and for the people, not of corporations, by corporations or for corporations.
