One of the best deals at Nebraska grocery stores right now is in the meat case. U-S Department of Agriculture Economist Annemarie Kuhns says shoppers can expect great deals on pork.
USDA’s latest prediction for all groceries is lower. Kuhns says the prediction now calls for between a 1.75 and 2.75-percent inflation rate instead of the previous prediction of two to three percent.
She says that is impacting other costs in the meat case.
Kuhns says this is good news for shoppers.
Kuhns says the biggest drop will be in pork prices. They are now predicting a three to four percent drop in pork prices in 2015 compared to their earlier drop of zero to 1%.
