Legislation has been approved in both Houses of the South Dakota legislature to lower the tax on wind development projects. South Dakota Wind Energy Association Executive Director Paul Bachman says this measure will allow South Dakota to be on a level playing field for attracting wind projects with other states.

Bachman says there was solid backing in both the South Dakota House and Senate for lowering this tax and supporting wind energy development going forward.

Bachman expects Governor Daugaard to sign the measure that’s now headed to his desk.
