Minnesota Assistant State Climatologist Pete Boulay says the highest official total from Wednesday night’s rainstorms was 9.74 inches, just east of Willmar

Boulay says this rain event was a little smaller than one about a month ago in July. He says the last rain event of this size was back in 2012.
